S, che era in combutta con il truffatore fin dall'inizio, rimane sorprendentemente scioccata scoprendo della morte di Jonathan. Per i ragazzi la vita nella nuova sezione è una pacchia, i professori sembrano aver perso con loro ogni speranza e non provano nemmeno più a farli studiare. L'unico professore che si presenta alla classe con sincero entusiasmo e pronto a vivere il suo ruolo da supplente come una sfida importante è Marco Andreoli (Andrea Pisani) il prof d'italiano che ha come modello di riferimento il Professor Keating de L'Attimo fuggente. Dopo molti tentativi per cercare di coinvolgere e appassionare i ragazzi, esasperato dal disinteresse e dalle continue umiliazioni a cui lo sottopone la classe, Andreoli abbandona il lavoro a metà anno. Prima di andarsene però, svela ai ragazzi che la creazione della sezione H è stata un'idea del Preside (Alessandro Preziosi) che aveva deciso di isolarli in una classe "ghetto", sicuro di poter dimostrare che il rendimento delle altri classi sarebbe migliorato. A cento giorni dall'esame di maturità, i ragazzi si accorgono di essere spacciati, non riusciranno mai a superare l'esame.
